De Castelli’s Beijing Showroom is a project all about showcasing the Italian brand’s metalwork merchandise as art.  The two level renovated loft space was designed by Taipei based Liwan Yang of JUST DESIGN and houses beautiful metal artworks, furniture, and surfaces.  StudioSZ was commissioned by both the De Castelli, the interior designer, as well as the lighting manufacturer ERCO to provide photography for a space that looks more like a museum than a typical showroom.

  • Since we were taking photos for the interior designer, lighting manufacturer, as well as De Castelli themselves, we set out to create a set of images that not only captured the space itself, but also needed to highlight all the furnishings and fixtures inside this beautifully designed showroom in Beijing.

  • Despite being a relatively small space, our client required us to photograph each and every space inside De Castelli’s two-level Beijing showroom.  The StudioSZ team ended up spending a full day on site from morning until dusk in order to photograph the entire project and all of its furnishings. 

  • We came away from the single day photoshoot in Beijing with a set of clean, crisp images that tell the full story of the minimalistic showroom design.  Through careful planning and execution, our photo set managed to cater to all three commissioning clients – that of the interior designer (Just Design), lighting manufacturer (ERCO), and the owner (De Castelli).
