Hang Lung Spring City 66 | Kunming, China
Spring City 66 is real estate developer, Hang Lung Properties, first project in southwest China and also its first to achieve net zero carbon emissions being powered completely by renewable energy. StudioSZ Photo was commissioned to photograph and create video of the entire mixed-use development including its office and hotel towers, retail shopping mall, and residential sales center.

StudioSZ set out to highlight the importance of Spring City 66’s location within the heart of Yunnan’s capital city of Kunming.

One challenge we faced when documenting Kunming Spring City 66 was that the mega project’s last phase was still under construction. Because of this, we needed to be strategic when selecting camera views in order to avoid those areas which were not yet finished.

Over three days, StudioSZ was able to create a cohesive collection of architectural and interior photographs as well as videography. As with any successful shoot, cooperation with the local building team on site helped to ensure we came away with what we needed.
