Situated along the western coast of Shenzhen Bay, the 33-level Sunshine Financial Center occupies a prime position within the north portion of the precinct’s master plan.
StudioSZ was commissioned to capture the project’s timeless quality, simple form, and impact on the nearby growing urban environment.

One of the major goals of capturing any high-rise project is to create a set of photos that situates the project within its urban surroundings, while at the same time humanizing the project with more curated eye-level scenes.

The primary challenge with this shoot was how to showcase and differentiate this high-rise office building that sits within a sea of other tall buildings. One design feature that sets it apart is the level of intricate detail on the glass curtain wall and we set out to document that from various vantage points.

We were blessed with incredible weather for the two days on site in Shenzhen document this elegant tower designed by Woods Bagot. With little to worry about in terms of battling the elements, we simply needed to ensure we were in the right place at the right time for each desired shot.
