TP-LINK LXD | Shenzhen, China
Designed by architecture firm Kohn Pedersen Fox (KPF), TP-LINK LXD is a 124,600-square-meter tech campus in Shenzhen, China, consisting of two office/R&D towers and a dormitory building. The project's signature feature is a continuous, one-kilometer-long "landscape ribbon"—a elevated sequence of stepped terraces, planted staircases, outdoor meeting areas, and sports courts that wraps around the exterior of all three buildings.
StudioSZ was commissioned by KPF, TP-Link, and Arup to photograph and film this incredibly innovative office tower over two separate shoots in 2026.

One of the key objectives for this shoot was to capture how the one kilometer long landscape ribbon successfully connects every floor directly to open green space, much of it way up in the sky. It was important for our client that we showcase the variety of amenity spaces, from quiet and intimate to open and semi-public.

This shoot was full of significant challenges, the most notable of which was simply moving around the exterior landscape ribbon with all our gear, assistants, on-site staff, and models. We definitely got a month’s worth of exercise condensed into a few intense days. Additionally, during our first shoot in February the sun path didn’t allow for any natural light on the project’s main northern facade. That constraint, along with a desire to come back and capture the project when the landscape had more fully grown in, motivated us to come back for a second follow-up shoot.

After two separate shoots and countless stairs climbed, we successfully came a way with images and motion that capture this dynamic, highly connected workspace designed around wellness, movement, and spontaneous collaboration.
